Q. Where is Checkmate Lacrosse located?
A. Checkmate Lacrosse is located 225 Cambridge Avenue Garden City, NY 11530 MONDAY MORNING CHECK IN …. Check-in will begin Monday at 8:30 am. Please return your medical, insurance form and balance at least one week before the first day of camp. If late, your balance is due in cash or money order on Monday morning. Don’t forget, camp hours are from 9:00 - 3:30. SNACKS….. Snacks will be sold at snack time. Your child can bring snack or you can leave money on Monday morning for your child to use at snack time. **There will be water on the field at all times**** LUNCH…Lunch in the past has included Pizza, McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Six Foot Heroes, Hot Dogs, Burger King, Chicken Wings, Barbecue, Salad, Fresh Fruit, Peanut butter and jelly, Bagels, Pretzels, Cookies, Cake, Fruit Salad, Lemonade and Ice Tea. SWIMMING.. There is no swimming at camp. EQUIPMENT… If you need to rent equipment, you can for $5 for each piece for the week. In addition, there is also a $100.00 security check that will be returned on Friday, when the equipment is returned to Checkmate at the end of camp. All campers need a mouthpiece. Girls: Stick and goggles. Boys: Stick, shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, helmet and rib pads. If you wish to rent equipment call 596-0799 prior to first day of camp. CAMP STORE… Lacrosse merchandise, equipment and sticks will be on sale Friday afternoon and you will also be able to purchase a personalized camp photo for a cost of $15.00. LOST AND FOUND…There will be a lost and found in the front during morning drop off and out on the field before dismissal. DIRECTIONS… please call (516) 742-3449 ext. 253 SAFETY AND PARKING…PLEASE drive safely in the car park. Adhere to all parking rules. Do not park on the grass.
